Co-opted Industry Representative

Dr. Ademola Banjoko is a distinguished water resources engineer, environmental scientist, and infrastructure specialist whose career spans three and a half decades of high-impact practice across the public and private sectors of Nigeria. His co-option to the Governing Council as Industry Representative reflects EPIN's commitment to ensuring that its governance is continuously informed by the realities and priorities of professional practice on the ground.
His academic formation is exceptionally well-rounded: a B.Sc. (Honours) in Geography and Planning from the University of Lagos (1990), an MBA in Finance from Kensington University, USA (1995), an Advanced Certificate in Water Resources Planning and Management from Carl Duisberg Gesellschaft e.V., Mannheim, Germany (1999), an M.Sc. in Geography with specialisation in Hydrology and Remote Sensing from the University of Lagos (2001), and a Ph.D. in Water Resources Management from the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (2024) — the latter representing a career-crowning academic achievement.
Dr. Banjoko's professional career has encompassed roles of increasing seniority: NYSC Site Engineer at Anambra State Water Corporation; Technical Officer at Kontiki (International) Limited; Technical Manager at Brixdams Nigeria Limited; and most significantly, Principal Engineer (Water Resources) at the Lagos State Water Corporation from 1996 to 2010 — where he executed key projects including the design, construction, and installation of water treatment plants for the CBN Staff Quarters, Satellite Town, and the maintenance of facilities at CBN Headquarters and Senior Staff Quarters, Victoria Island.
His hydrological project portfolio — spanning raw water quality monitoring, gauging station discharge measurements, and the World Bank-assisted hydrological investigation of River Oworu for Ikorodu Town water supply — illustrates an engineer of genuine national significance. As a Governing Council co-optee, Dr. Banjoko strengthens EPIN's bridge between professional standards and applied industry practice.
