Mr. Peter Etele Omietimi is a rising force in Nigeria's environmental and public health sector — a dedicated practitioner whose academic ambition, professional breadth, and commitment to evidence-based environmental governance make him a compelling representative of the South South geopolitical zone on EPIN's Governing Council.
His academic credentials are impressive in both rigour and breadth: a B.Sc. in Microbiology from the University of Port Harcourt (2005), a Professional Diploma in Environmental Health from EHORECON Abuja (2015), an M.Sc. in Environmental and Public Health Microbiology from Novena University (2019), an M.Sc. in Occupational Health and Safety from the Centre for Occupational Health and Safety, University of Port Harcourt (2023), and a Ph.D. in Environmental and Public Health Microbiology currently in progress at Novena University — a testament to his unstinting commitment to scholarly advancement.
Mr. Omietimi's professional career began at Presco Technologies Limited, Yenagoa (2008–2010), before he ascended to Environmental Health and Safety Manager at Mcmatthy Nigeria Limited (2011–2018), Quality Assurance Officer at Regal Water Limited (2017–2018), and ultimately General Manager at Mcmatthy Nigeria Limited (2019–2025). He currently serves as Director at Wizlink Consults Limited Research Centre in Yenagoa, Bayelsa State — an institution dedicated to bridging the gap in innovative environmental health, biotechnology, and safety research in the Niger Delta region.
